this year is going to be about IP. not just sco vs therestoftheworld. thats is only the top of the iceberg. though it is going to be about the //GPL (and the lack of knowledge people have of it). OpenSource product end up in more and more proprietary software (hence: not the other way around as sco claims!)
We have the case with the //mplayer (think windows media player on steriods for X on Unix) who's code was //stolen.
now let me get this straight for all those people too lazy to read the GPL. OpenSource is NOT free, OpenSource DOES have a licence, OpenSource is not a cheap way of making a fast bug my stealing code and putting it into closed source software.
You can build your cathedral in your bazaar, you are allowed to become extremly rich by selling OpenSource Software. But stick to the rules! Read //gorklaw.
