And Getronics-PinkRoccade was recently bought by KPN, as I predicted. And now KPN will be bought by ...

...AT&T!

Speculation of a takeover bid for Royal KPN NV from AT&T Inc have been quickly dismissed, and although the Dutch telecoms operator will remain at the heart of takeover talk for the time being, an offer for the company is not expected in the short-term, analysts said.

...or maybe not.

Via the Twit network I found out about a great serie of Podcasts over at Magnatune. They are free (as in beer), DRM free, advertisement free and well categorized. Sure worth listening to it on your iPod.

Talking about iPods, yesterday I bought the new fat Nano, my second iPod and .. my first Mac; an iMac! I ordered them online and hope to have them in a week or so. In even more unrelated news, Apple is worth more then IBM! (well, maybe not, but still)

Het gaat niet goed met Funda. Ontslag van de driekoppige directie, een jaarverslag dat laat zien dat het "funda"ment van de organisatie met betonrot kampt en zwaar tegenvallende cijfers.

Emerce schrijft onder "Groei van Funda zakt in::

"Wij verwachten dat 2007 een cruciaal jaar wordt in het bestaan van het bedrijf: we zijn óf in staat om Funda op koers te houden óf zullen worden gedwongen om een minder invloedrijke en minder succesvolle toekomst te accepteren."

Raar. Nog geen half jaar geleden werkte ik aan een suspect die als statement had "we willen de Funda worden van de vrijetijds-sector". Ik dacht toen al, nou dat hoop ik niet voor je, vindallehuizen.nl was er al en de eerste cracks in het bastion van het NVM broederschap waren zichtbaar. Maar ik hield mijn mond, soms moet je klantenprospects zelf door een fase laten gaan en niet betweterig voorkouwen wat de volgende 5 stappen zijn die ze mee gaan maken, ook al kan je ze blind uittekenen.

De suspect is niet naar ons gegaan. En heeft zijn doel (budget 50k, doel top10 site) weer normaal bijgesteld. En ik denk ook niet dat in het programma nog staat dat ze "de funda willen worden van de vrijetijdssector". Hoewel, supsect was nogal 1.0. Dus wellicht past hij zich pas aan over een jaar of twee als het nieuws ook daar bekend is dat gesloten muren rondom de tuin niet werken.

Baaah! This webmaster wasnt smoking Malboro when (s)he did the rewrite. IE only in 2006 where there are other ways of doing redirects for nearly 10 years. Sad to see how such a big company has such a small vision.
