From a strictly mathematical viewpoint it goes like this:
What Makes 100%? What does it mean to give MORE than 100%?
Ever wonder about those people who say they are giving more than 100%? We have all been to those meetings where someone wants you to give over100%. How about achieving 103%?

Here's a little mathematical formula that might help you answer these questions:

What makes up 100% in life?

numerically as:1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26.

Then:
H-A-R-D-W-O-R-K (mathematically) is... 8+1+18+4+23+15+18+11 = 98% and
K-N-O-W-L-E-D-G-E: 11+14+15+23+12+5+4+7+5 = 96%
But, A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E: 1+20+20+9+20+21+4 5 = 100%...
And, B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T: 21+12+12+19+8+9+20 = 103%
AND, look how far ass kissing will take you:

So, one can then conclude with mathematical certainty that while, hard work and knowledge will get you close, and attitude will get you there, bullshit and ass kissing will put you over the top. !!!

this is a lame companyI havent written 'bout the nonsense between SCO (with M$ backing them up) and IBM regarding the Intellectual Property case of UNIX source in GNU/Linux.

Well, I have had it enough of it. As long as I'll life, I wont touch anything SCO-ish. "we", the community are hurt now, with //gartner saying companies ought to minimize their linux efforts:

The lawsuits against IBM and Linux users could take a year or more. Minimize Linux in complex, mission-critical systems until the merits of SCO's claims or any resulting judgments become clear.

I do think gartner is just plain wrong here. Everybody can see that sco's case will --at its best- only bommerang back to them. in the mean time, //linutag is //counter suing sco for stalling the rise of linux:

The association demanded that the German SCO subsidiary retract its claims regarding ownership of Linux kernel code by this Friday, May 30, or make its evidence public. more oss management tools

smokinmijn eerste project bij mijn hudige werkgever was het creeren van een breedbandige redundante internetconnectie (we kwamen van 2.25 Mb en verkopen nu zo'n 170Mb).
daarvoor was goede tooling noodzakelijk dus begonnen we met mrtg.. intussen zijn alle systemen ook met rrd ontsloten (cpu, mail in en uit, etc) en gebruiken we end-user-expierence-tooling van nagios. we hebben nu ook client vpn's in ons pakket om o.a. een citrix farm te ontsluiten en dan wordt packetloss en latency plotseling heel belangrijk. en daarvoor kwam ik recent // smokeping van oetiker tegen. grafisch zeer fraai en nuttig, smokin'!
