this poll was made after Rasmus suggested that Drupal should "drop" PHP4 support. Rasmus of cource wants to get forward and as long as "big" PHP users like Joomla1/Drupal still support PHP4, the adoption of newer versions will stall.

Some very good stats are available here regarding PHP4 and 5.
