strange, i have seens at least 4 rises of that video, every 3 month or so a popluar digg/slash/deli has this on front

maybe we need a "this is starting to smell" drupal module

A module which checks the embedded urls against digg/slashdot/technorati/self and checks the freshness of the news :-).

I hadn't seen it but appearantly it is from 2004 (according to el reg)..

And no it is not enough reason to start reading digg; i think the idea of news editing by democracy adds very little value because it tends to promote stories are which already popular;in other words not "news". Ray ozzie's demo, which gets a fair share of buzz around the net gets about 52 diggs across 11 submissions.

At most it is a marketing tool to get an online view of what is popular in the digg community (and it is: gadets/linux/apple/popular science/diy and medical developments?)...it must be a nice source to do some datamining...
