Tuberaider Video: How To Download And Save Youtube Videos

Luckily the fine people here put together a little script that lets you save youtube files on your computer.
Basically, use a better browser, install greasemonkey, install a script. And there you go, a nice "download this flash movie" link in your browser! You do know that the browser is the hub! Might be handy for you, I have to give a presentation for a customer in a couple of days and wanted a movie to be in the presentation, so this saves me time.

it wont let me save it as an flv file.

it just save as so other file and when i try to run it it say i have to pick the apl. to run it in.what the hell man.

Looking for an easier way?

Downloads from YouTube, MySpace and many more. Then converts the file to iPod, PSP, DVD, XviD, 3gp, Zune, VCD, SVCD. It does it all! Very easy to use 3 step process! Ohh and did I mention you have full control over the quality settings? That is awesome!

One tool do all

This Tool from http://www.ifunpix.com will let you navigate in youtube web site and whenever you see a video that you like you just push the download button and it will download it, keep pushing and pushing and it will download it all.
Then you can watch all videos and even share them with your friends.

The biggest kick is that you can send it to your mobile phone (convert to 3gp format)

I found a great site that lets you download videos from youtube, myspace, and google videos. The site uses a proxy to download videos, as my work blocks access to youtube. I just search in google for you tube video and then I just use the URL below to download ‘em

My problem is that not just youtube but every video site is blocked u just can't view any video on the net.so can u guys suggest any method to download vids from youtube?i used youtubeproxy for browsing yotube,it gave the vid link and then i used keepvid,but then i wans't able download.pls suggest a method to get around this problem?

I have successfully used the Firefox plugin called "downloadhelper" to get video's that are on any website EXCEPT for YouTube ones. I'm only able to get youtube vids as flv. files that don't open and play on my Mac.

It seems to me that the solutions offered tend to all be for Windows based machines. There was one person on this forum who said that they "found a solution, thanks" but didn't post what the heck it was!

Anyone able to help the Mac users in the house?

Easy ".flv" YouTube File Conversions

Using DownloadHelper, download your YouTube video and save it to your desktop. Then go to http://zamzar.com/. Follow the simple instructions there to convert your video from a ".flv" format to almost any other video format in under five minutes. This website also works for conversions of audio, document, image, and other formats. Because it is run through a website and is not a downloaded program, there should be no compatibility problems with Mac vs. Windows vs. Linux. Hope this solved your problem.

just browse your internet

just browse your internet cache in search for flv files. the best way is to manually clean your internet cache while the video isn't completely ready to play. the only file that will not be erased is your precious youku video. simple

YouTube Video Conversion

You could just go to www.videocodezone.com/conversion.php.
Specify the URL and output type(my favorite is MP4 for IPOD of course)
and it spits out that file. Pretty cool. Only thing is they support
YouTube and DailyMotion only at this point so hopefully they will have
more video sites in future.

This app allows you to not only watch youtube and loads of other stuff online, 1 after the other, but you can also download it, put it in folders and stuff. It also has tons of podcasts and videocasts and radio and tv stations in it

Well today I tried using my veoh gadget, and lo and behold, NOTHING! So I downloaded/installed glootub, again NOTHING! Methinks youtube, myspace, et. al. are blocking users from downloading anything. Or is it just me?
