just upgraded //drupal (the engine under willy) towards 4.2.

so the update of drupal went rather smooth. now i have to choose and edit a theme as well as a new logo. the new drupal engine has a lot of new features, most notably in the admin
section (which most of you want see on willy :-) ) for some screenshots of the new admin section, take a peek at //drupal

what else has changed since 4.1? willy now supports friendly url's. the old url's will be rewritted with my friend mod_rewrite. when submitting storys, there is no confusing "teaser" anymore. optionally i will enable wiki. i also fooled around with the layout. all willy related stuff is now on the right, headlines (and the calender and event blocks) are on the left.

i installed most of the modules i had on the previous versions, not all of them are working in a way i like.

i installed

• a pdf viewer;
• a personal bookmarks module;
• the smileys :-) ;
• a nicelinks module (when on a link a popup box will appear);
• a texterize module to convert tm and (c);
• a notify module to get a digest mail;
• a chat module;
• a htmlcorrector;
• an events module;
• an option to schedule your postings;
• and best of all, the htmlarea, making it very simple to submit stuff even if you have zero knowledge about html.

so now a lot of fine tuning has to be done as well as making a new theme!
