DrupalCON live update, day 2

Dries opened with some ideas about the Drupal Foundation. We concluded that we should rush, get our priorities straight and first have some consensus about the goal. Volunteers cam forward to make that document.

Chx talked about the split mode. It should be able to preserve a lot of memory and CPU cycles. But it wont be there in 4.7 despite CHX's effort

David from mysql talked about the history and future of MySQL. David is a nice bloke and he got two tshirts ("my cms kicks your cms ass!", and "Drupal Rockstar"). Did you knew that the new MySQL 5 (RC) gets 7000 downloads per day (for the stable 40.000 d/l per day!)?

Chad talked about the "Undo" feature. Sounds cool to have. The other thing was that he had a great theme for the slides of presentation.

Drupal package management was presented by Vlado Dikini. This would be a great help for newbees getting into Drupal.

Next up "Extreeeeeme usability" by Kieran Lal.
