Like Jeremy, I am thinking about using Amazon's S3 service for personal use. Ever since my laptop was stolen and I didnt backup all files, I need an easy way to synchronise multiple machines to one central point that is cheap and I can trust (and hence isnt maintained by me :-) ).
S3 does the job and there are lots of tools to "mount" the S3 as a drive for different OS-es. Jeremy has a nice list of tools avialble to synchronise. I do like jungledisk.com/, easy, simple and cross platvorm.
