a badass mp3 ghetto blaster

i know someone who will dig this, a badass retro getho blaster. funny fact is, i dig it too. cause its a linux powered mp3 player with a huge case. see //bass-station and some //pics as well.

fud and lnx

a rather good read 'bout fud, ms and lnx. lenghty, well written and some good points ; //why microsofts fud may be doomed.

Embracing GNU/Linux saves a significant amount of time, effort and
money that would otherwise have been consumed in reinventing the wheel
with each new product release. By sharing in Linux development costs,
either monetarily or through their own development efforts, they can
all have what they need with a much smaller expenditure of resources.
Once Linux reaches the point of scalability as exists in AIX, HP-UX,
etc. (fairly soon), those operating systems can be retired to
maintenance mode.

my point exactly

linux interview

so everybody and mike's uncle bob has read the //linus interview in the once famous wired. so now you can read it too, it is still funny to read about the man that started //the Accidental Revolutionary.

pstree

just installed //pstree. seems like a nice little program which makes the the ps -ef hierarchically graphically visable.

webmin the book

my employer uses //webmin a lot for first line operations; a great tool and i use it myself as well for some small sysadmin jobs or my custom jobs with a web frontend.

webmin: you have played the game! you have seen the movie! now //read the book

an excellent lengthy book on the use of webmin. must read!
