Last weekend some F1 cars did visit Rotterdam and raced through the streets, making Rotterdam the "Monaco of the Netherlands".

Collegue Kees made some shots. Half a million people came to Rotterdam to watch Formula 1 cars drive through the streets. This guy in the Rotterdam Hilton Hotel decided to take some pictures, but I guess there were more pictures taken of him :). I wonder if he posts on Flickr as well, would love to see his shots: D

Eventually his girlfriend jumped into the scene as well. As about 50.000 people were shouting and waving for her to take the robe of (which she didn't) I also noted an elderly couple sitting in front of the window two floors above them. Unaware of the scene below they thought that everybody was waving at them and they happily waved back...

het ziet er naar uit dat ook dit jaar mijn vriendin een van de twee zondagen mij gaat missen. jos rijdt waarschijnlijk volgend jaar weer!
