I never considered myself to be "fan" of anyone or anything. But I'll make a small exception for the Urban Dance Squad, the best (Dutch) live band ever that was groundbreaking and shaking from day one. They did broke up in 2000 after more than a decade of new music and 6 albums:

Internal struggles fueled by continued negativity from the (Dutch) press (like negative remarks on Rudeboy's stage appearance as a soldier, while he's a World War II enthusiast) led to the break-up of the band in 2000.

Yesterday I was wearing an old UDS tshirt to work (hey, I had no customers visiting) and lost of people commented on it. One of them, claiming that the UDS was going to get together again! And indeed on this Dutch page you can read that they will perform on two festifals, including lowlands 2006 (stupid flash site). This is GREAT news for someone like me! No news on DNA's page (claiming to be the official UDS page till the break up in 1997 and that was the date the page was last change) and the redirect on UDS.nl leads to a dead end as well and ikzoekeenartiest doesnt have any information either.

Anyone, /me is listening to a stream of old UDS records, the sun is shining and I am bullitproof! Maybe I'll pickup a hitchiker as well.
